Small Project of the Year Nominee – SR-96; MP 18 to Jct. US-6

The SR-96 project’s major work items were SMA, HMA, FSR-HMA (Fiber Strength Reinforcement — Hot Mix Asphalt) and some roto-milling, signs, striping, and various other items. The project had some deep milling where we placed FSR-HMA for 1,500 tons. Geneva Rock added a scratch course roughly four miles long that was 1,940 tons of HMA.

Small Project of the Year Nominee – I-15; 2600 S. to Pages Lane; (Davis County)

This project included an overlay of 1” of Bonded Wearing Course — Type B for 3.5 miles of southbound I-15 through Davis County for a total of 185,000 square yards. This nominated project placed approximately 8,245 tons of HMA 3/8 Inch material in the amount of $1,014,100.56 as a lane leveling course over the existing HMA. Large Project of the Year Nominee – Tooele Valley Airport Rehabilitation

The Tooele Valley airport project consisted of 3D milling and paving of the taxiways and runway, the installation of new LED light fixtures, new striping, survey markers and grade work. Large Project of the Year Nominee – SR-14 Eastbound Woods Ranch Passing Lane Project

Sunroc performed all the widening work on SR-14 from MP 11 to MP 12.5 in a $3.345 million project that involved significant challenges. This was a unique project, in part, because of its location up in the canyon. The project itself was completed in three phases. The first phase involved a massive box culvert reconstruct.

Large Project of the Year Nominee – UT FLAP 2500(1) Taylor Mountain Road

Project funding came from the UT FLAP program. Uintah County along with the Ashley National Forest Service applied for the Federal Lands Access Program through Uintah Transportation Special Service District.
