Kasen Garrett

Kasen has worked for Morgan Industries for most of his life. He’s done everything from yard cleanup to parking lot striping to business development/marketing. He currently works as a salesman/estimator and has been for nearly two years.

For the past three years, Kasen has been both working at Morgan Industries and attending Weber State University full-time as part of the Professional Sales program. His sales courses have taught him helpful skills such as personality profiling, presenting, negotiating, forecasting, ethical decision-making, prospecting, and more.

Kasen expects to graduate in August 2023. Upon graduating, he plans to remain with Morgan Industries as part of their sales team. His goal is to better the industry through innovation, hard work and creative thinking.

Nick Tholstrom

Nick has worked at Geneva Rock Products for over two years as part of the quality control department. He has excelled in testing construction materials and being involved in creating asphalt mix designs.

Nick has learned and demonstrated excellent communication and leadership skills both majoring in civil engineering at Brigham Young University and through his work at Geneva Rock Products.. He understands the fundamental principles of engineering and construction, critical skills for his future in the construction industry.

Nick expects to graduate in April 2024. After graduating, he will continue to work as an estimating intern at Geneva Rock Products until he can become a full-time employee for Sunroc. He sees himself expanding his horizons and becoming a project manager in the future. His ultimate goal is to give back and make a difference in the community.

Ashley Seamons

Ashley has worked for R&R Paving for over two years as an executive assistant. As part of her job, she has run a skid steer, rolled road base, and shoveled asphalt in addition to learning from the other crew members about other aspects of paving and helping customers.

She is pursuing a marketing degree at Utah Valley University, and her business classes have taught her valuable skills such as using software programs, working with customers professionally, and understanding finances. The skills she learns in her classes directly correlate to her consistent improvement at R&R Paving.

After graduating, Ashley plans to continue to work at R&R Paving. She wants to take everything she learns and give it right back to the company and the community.
