These companies were given the schedule and the traffic control plan in advance. • The Tooele County Road Department gave the sheriff’s office information about the project schedule and impact on traffic. TheTooeleCounty RoadDepartment has a lot of experience chip-sealing roads. It estimates that the project extended the road’s life by 5–7 years, saved time and money, and gave them an excellent fin- ished product. As a result, the depart- ment plans to use reclaimed aggregate in its future chip-seal projects as well. The project’s quality was demonstrated by what happened after the road work was completed in June 2018. The chip seal held up well withminimal chip loss even after the snow had been plowed a few times. On November 13, 2018, during the Southern Utah Asphalt Conference, a spotlight presentation was given about this project. 3 Scott Fernald, Granite Construction WHY MEMBERSHIP?
